WatermelonSeed AI (“WatermelonSeed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides website analytics, marketing reports, customer-journey attribution, automation, and AI-assisted insights through watermelonseed.ai.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Account and contact information

When you create or manage an account, we may collect:

When WatermelonSeed tracking is installed on a website, we may collect information such as:

  • Campaign parameters such as UTM values

Where a visitor submits a form or otherwise provides their information, the applicable website owner may receive information such as the visitor’s name, email address, telephone number, and submitted message.

Google account information

When you connect a Google account, WatermelonSeed may request permission to access data from services you select, including:

  • Google Analytics 4
  • Google Search Console
  • Google Ads
  • Google Business Profile, when enabled

Depending on the services connected, this information may include property and account identifiers, traffic metrics, search queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rates, search positions, campaign information, advertising costs, conversions, location information, and other reporting data.

WatermelonSeed uses OAuth authorization. We do not receive or store your Google password.

How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Operate and maintain WatermelonSeed
  • Connect the services selected by the user
  • Produce dashboards, reports, and scheduled emails
  • Measure website performance and marketing effectiveness
  • Build customer-journey and attribution reports
  • Generate WatermelonSeed IQ insights
  • Diagnose connection and data-quality issues
  • Provide customer support
  • Protect WatermelonSeed against misuse, fraud, and security threats
  • Improve our services and features
  • Comply with legal obligations

AI-Generated Insights

When a user requests WatermelonSeed IQ analysis, relevant reporting metrics and website information may be processed through the OpenAI API to generate the requested analysis.

We do not intentionally include passwords, OAuth access tokens, or Google account credentials in AI-analysis requests. AI-generated recommendations should be reviewed by the user before making business, advertising, financial, medical, or other important decisions.

Google API Data

WatermelonSeed only accesses Google information authorized by the user and uses that information to provide the reporting, analysis, attribution, and account features requested by the user.

WatermelonSeed AI’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for unrelated advertising, credit decisions, or surveillance.

How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate WatermelonSeed, such as:

  • Website and cloud-hosting providers
  • Email-delivery providers
  • Payment processors
  • Analytics and error-monitoring providers
  • AI-processing providers when a user requests AI-generated insights
  • Professional advisers when reasonably necessary
  • Government or legal authorities when required by law

These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.

Information may also be shared when requested or authorized by the applicable account owner.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

WatermelonSeed and websites using WatermelonSeed may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, recognize returning visitors, measure website activity, attribute marketing sources, remember preferences, and protect against misuse.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies. Disabling cookies may affect certain WatermelonSeed features and the accuracy of journey reporting.

Account owners may disconnect integrations from their WatermelonSeed account settings. Google authorization can also be revoked through the Google Account permissions page.

To request account or personal-data deletion, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity or authority over the applicable account before completing a request.

Revoking access stops future collection through that connection but may not automatically delete information previously collected. You may separately request deletion of previously stored information.

Third-Party Websites and Services

WatermelonSeed may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites and services. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

Children’s Privacy

WatermelonSeed is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through WatermelonSeed or by email when appropriate.
